Grant Application for Grant Cycle 3 (2021)
Grant applications for Cycle 3 are due April 23, 2021. Successful grantees will be offered contracts for the term July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022. Grant reporting must be completed by July 31, 2022 for this cycle. Small Grants Program funds may be used toward any activity that benefits or improves the Rohnert Park community. Specifically, Small Grants funds will be focused on small projects, events, and activities that will be completed by June 30, 2022. The maximum grant award is $5,000. An organization is eligible for only one grant award in the same cycle. Organizations that were funded in Grant Cycle 2 may apply for a new project. Proposed projects will be evaluated, scored, and ranked based on the answers provided in the grant application. The highest-ranking proposals will be recommended to the Foundation Board for approval. Priority will be given to projects that will noticeably impact the people who live, work, and play in the City of Rohnert Park. Funding for the Small Grants Program is limited; not all proposals may be approved or recommended for funding.

How would you classify your project?
Some projects will require permits and permissions before they can be implemented. Examples are a temporary use permit for events, permits for installations, City Council/Commission approval for public art, school district permissions to work with students, design reviews, food distribution permits, and landlord permission for tenant improvements. Every project will be required to secure the proper permissions and reservations to conduct the planned activities; before you submit your application, it is strongly recommended that you have considered the resources, time and costs for permits required of your project. Approved projects must incorporate the time and costs of securing permits within the grant period, and all projects must be completed by June 30, 2022.
